Top Pick Thursdays: My Hairy Situation

So, it's about that time of the year again. Yes - the hot and humid weather has officially hit us and my hair is screaming out "Houston we have a problem!"  Luckily, I have an appointment first thing tomorrow with Brandy Stokes, the same hairstylist who did my wedding updo.  She is FABULOUS!!!  This is actually my first haircut with her, but I am so excited to see what she can do for my poor hair.  After ALL the compliments I got from the wedding, I have NO doubt she will be able to work her magic on me. If you haven't checked out her web site, please do HERE.  She is phenomenal!

I only cut my hair twice a year and I'm opting for a different look this time. LOTS of layers and LOTS of thinning out.  It's insane how much hair I have...really.  I am going to try this style out.  It has TONS of layers framing my face and it's a little edgy which I LOVE. Now, just gotta make sure to Chi the heck out of it so it stays put. What do you think about the hair style?

Honestly, I wish I could pull off a short bob or a pixie, but God did not bless me with this ability.  The last time I cut my hair was back in 2008 when my Husband (boyfriend at the time) persuaded me to go for the Victoria Beckham look.  Let's just say that that was a LONGEST 2 years of my life trying to grow it back out.  AND on top of that, he told me my head looked like a lollipop. A LOLLIPOP! (Yea...laugh it up.)

For all you lovely ladies who can flaunt this look, I envy you...and you should TOTALLY rock the look! Trust me, long hair is a little over-rated and so much more work! I'll give you an update in a few days. Hope everything works out!

I can't wait to see your new haircut, Linh! Speaking of haircut, I desperately need one myself. It's been a since I had a haircut. It was almost a year, I think.

Love the first and second last hairstyle. So pretty.

I have a feeling that whatever you do to your hair you will still be gorgeous! I have to say that my fav of the styles is Hilary Duff. I bet you could totally do that one if you are going to layer and thin (I have to thin mine out a little). Can't wait to see what you decide!

My hair grows up so slowly, last time I asked for a trim and my hairdresser cut too much and I wanted to cry !!! I think you're lucky to have so much hair and also thick hair, mine is thin and it's difficult to style it and I end up having split ends !
Your blog is so nice, following you...I hope you'll like my blog and follow back ! Be in touch xxx

This is how I've been getting my haircut for awhile now! Short layers to super long layers. I have super thick hair, so this hairstyle+thinning shears+a flat iron= my holy grail:-) xoxo

Linh, I just found your blog...LOVE it...YOU are beautiful. And about the haircut...NNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Please. Don't layer up that beautiful hair. Remember those 2 LONG years??? Give it some thought! But, if you do, go for Hilary's and I know you'll rock it.
I'll check back tomorrow.
