THE GREAT - Received a phone call on Friday with the most exciting news EVER! Let's just say it includes a trip to New York and Philly where I will have a WONDERFUL opportunity to meet my new team and attend an amazing event with some of the top wedding bloggers out there (some of whom I probably stalk on a weekly basis).
THE GOOD - Red Boxed it like it was going out of style! I think we saw 4 or 5 movies...none that I would personally recommend. However, it was nice to lay low with The Husband.
THE NOT-SO-GOOD - We saw AT LEAST 10 houses last weekend and didn't like any of them. Blah. The up side is being able to cross them off our list and move on to other potential homes.
THE UGLY - Ah yes. The ugly happened this morning. I woke up at 530am and drove my hubby so he could hitch a ride with his coworker to work. When I got home 20 minutes later excited to get back in bed, I searched for my keys...nowhere to be found. SHUT. UP. It is now 6am. I called him and you guessed it, he had the keys. This is the story of my life. So, I had to drive ALL the way to his job (which is like 50 miles round-trip) to get the key. I left at 530am. Finally got in the house at 715am. Nice.
I guess I could have sulked in my own self-pity, but that wouldn't have unlocked the door.
Times like this I wish Tyson or Ally knew better tricks.
Can you believe I even contemplated breaking a window?
I know...so sad...
So, with that being said, here are some illustrations of how I was feeling...
Sometimes you just gotta laugh it off!
My First Thought - OH SNAP...
My Second Thought - IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?...
My Last Thought - WORDS FROM THE WISE...
WORD...

Oh New York! You lucky thing! Keep us posted! I can't believe you had to go all the way back to fetch your keys (probably wouldn't have been so bad if it was later than 5.30!). I get locked out all the time! I once managed to lock myself out with the keys still on the inside of the door, I considered breaking the window too but then I found some BBQ tongs and managed to get the keys through the letterbox. It was traumatic! You should hide a spare set somewhere 'safe' in the garden?
Yay for your good news & traveling to NYC and Philly! I definitely red boxed it as well this weekend with my Mama, spent some time in the garden, and did some reading. Low key for sure!
Total bummer about the car keys. I feel like that's a common scenario I hear from my married girlfriends!!
Hope you have a lovely day :)
Oh Linh! I am so sorry that happened to you, so excited for you about the traveling though. I am becoming very forgetful so I have everything on a calendar that sends me notifications but some times I forget to read them haha.
The trip to New York makes up for the keys...I would be super stoked to be going there!! Btw...I would have probably been braless and makeupless driving to my husbands work, that would have been bad!
Glad you made it home safe and sound!

Ha ha the way you wrote about the keys was so funny!! I would have thought "what the fork" too!! Your news is so exciting- can't wait to hear more about it! Good luck with the house hunt- I know how that goes. We're just searching for a rental right now. I think we've finally found the one, but boy did the search get scary for a while. Crazy how many absolutely AWFUL houses are out there!
What a way to start your day?!?! Congrats on the news! Can't wait to hear more about your upcoming trip and your wedding blogger event. :-)

Hey hun, I really enjoyed reading your blog, sounds like you had a mixed weekend! Also really enjoyed looking at your different posts, the candy bar reminds me of the one I had at my wedding, all vintage jars, labels and bunting! Like the Maggie Sottero post too, my wedding dress was a Maggie, the 'Rowena' style. I am following you now, follow me too if you like : ) xx
I can't wait to read all about the trip to NYC and Philly. Sounds so exciting meeting with other bloggers! I got locked out one time when my hubby is out of state! I had no keys and no phone so I went to my next door neighbor to ask for help. I felt sorry to wake them up because it's 8am or something and they are still sleeping. The neighbor's son tried all sorts of way to help but nothing happened. We wanted to call the locksmith but suddenly they had a better idea! They called the fire department. A few mins later, they came and unlock the door in less than 5 mins! Their method? A grocery card! LOL!
Hope you have a wonderful week!

Awwww! I've locked my keys in the car twice this year and my husband was not amused either time. Now I'm paranoid about it, as I'm sure you will be for a couple of weeks!
