Wedding Wednesdays: Our Wedding Song

Ok ok ok. I have been talking about this since last night, but I don't care. My hubby and I were flipping channels last night wondering what we should watch.  After a few minutes, we decided to check out this new NBC show called The Voice.  Aspiring artists audition for a chance to have a producer promote their music.  The artists have been pre-selected so everyone who sings is already good. Now, let's fast forward to the last five minutes of the show. This one particular artist caught our attention and I quickly said to my husband "Who is this guy? Is he trying to be like Javier or what?"  Well guess what? THAT WAS HIM! H-O-L-Y  M-O-L-Y!!!!

Do you know who Javier Colon is?  Most likely, you don't.  BUT, if you attended my wedding back in January, then you DO know that we picked one of his songs as our wedding song.  This has been our special song since T & I exchanged "I love you's" back in 2007.  He's been around for a little while but not a big name. I have a feeling this will change quickly very soon.  The judges were in awe...and so was I!

He is raw talent and he is AMAZING!  Of course, I started following him RIGHT AWAY and in less than 45 minutes, he got over 500 followers on his twitter.  (Now, he has almost 2500. Yay for him!) He doesn't know it, but he holds a special place in our hearts. Here is a video of him singing our song LIVE. It's called "If I Never Get to Heaven."

What do you think? Isn't he great???

What was YOUR wedding song?

Happy Easter!

What a gorgeous day in Houston to celebrate Easter! Did you get together with your family and friends? Any Easter egg hunts? I don't usually post anything on the weekends, but I made an exception today because I wanted to share this amazingly beautiful song with you.  After coming back from Easter mass, I heard this song on the radio and it instantly put a smile on my face. I hope it makes you smile too.  Check out Addison Road. They are a GREAT Christian band and they have so many wonderful songs. Enjoy my sweet friends.
