In My Closet...Western Ruffles

Howdy doody!  I've been in such a "western/country" mood lately.  Here's a new outfit I meant to post on Saturday.  Opps!  It was a crazy busy weekend.  I will be adding the vintage top to my online store, but here's how I would pair it if it were "In My Closet."  Don't you love the ruffles and stitching?? It's simple but does the trick.

Does my hair look familiar??  I tested out the Top Knot Bun tutorial from last week and it worked out so great! I tweaked it a little since I had so many layers (no knot needed for me) and bobby pinned it in 5-6 places and voila! I gotta say...this is one of my favorite outfits yet. Casual, trendy, and a little western-inspired.  This is how we Texas gals do it!

 Top: Vintage / Shorts: Forever21 / Boots: Victoria's Secret / Jewelry: Gifted

You pull off this look so well! And I love to 'do! I actually tried it this weekend as well...my hair is in the growing phase, so not quite long enough for the knot but I made a few adjustments and pinnings, too...and voila! Cute hair! xoxoxo brynn

Adorable! Love the turq jewels to finish the look and make it even more authentic!
(... first I thought the design was sheer / cutout, but now I see it's embrodery!)

I love the outfit. It's so darling and I'm really going to have to test try the top knot bun. Hopefully my hair is long enough for it.

I knew you looked a little familiar. I too live in Sugarland and attended Dulles as well. I'm younger than you by a few years so I'm sure you don't recognize me.

Ivy: WOW! What a small world :) Unfortunately, I don't remember but PLEASE come say hi if you see me around town! I'm sure we'll bump into each other sooner or later. Houston is the biggest small city ever!
