In the Spotlight: Minnie Mortimer Home Tour

My Darlings!!! Happy Tuesday!!!  I TOTALLY missed you guys yesterday.  How was your weekend and what did you do??  Since I had ALL of last week off and wasn't very active with my blogging, I wanted to catch you up on some cool tidbits.

I had an AMAZING fun-filled weekend with LOTS of girl time!  I experienced my first SUPER COOL blogging moment. While out on the town with my girlfriends, I met a super sweet gal and the first words that came out of her mouth were "Oh my gosh! You're La-La Linh! I read your blog everyday! It is such an honor to meet you!" At that very moment, I felt pretty darn cool but so humbled and honored. That made my night! :)

I also had a chance to meet with my new team at BHLDN who are all SO incredibly beautiful, inspiring, and such talented women.  We are SO excited and pumped and I can't even begin to describe the POSITIVE energy that oozes from this team.  It is absolutely wonderful! Since I wasn't able to post yesterday, I am doing my weekly home decor post today! I am putting Minnie Mortimer in the spotlight today.  Minnie is a fashion designer from NY but lives in a trendy yet homey Malibu house I adore.  What I love most about the home is how much I can relate to it.  It's not huge or over-the-top; it's just right. Plus, I'm HUGE on libraries right now and this is one of the focal points of the house. 

She loves to collect art which is all over her house. I also love the variation in the pillows.

Top Pick Thursdays: Take a Number

Just took the dogs for a walk and it is SO incredibly hot outside! My goodness!  I took a shower and 20 minutes later I am STILL sweating. Eeekk!  The day is almost over my dolls - are you excited or are you excited??? Ha!

Wouldn't you love to have guests over for dinner and have them "take a number?"  Saw this setup and fell in love with it. I have dibs on numero uno! 

I think these numbered pillows can be so wonderful and tasteful when decorated right.

Dreamy Daybed Mondays...

Morning dolls! How was your weekend? I was browsing Pinterest this past weekend and came across a BEAUTIFUL daybed I couldn't stop thinking about so it became my inspiration for today's post. I have now added a daybed onto my list of "things I want for our new home" and I would LOVE to place it in our bedroom suite, reading area nook, or my office.

Wouldn't one of these be oh so lovely for a gal to have??

Dreamy Rustic Home Mondays

When I came across this home in Portugal, I had to gasp for air. It is the PERFECT combination of rustic architecture and modern decor.  There isn't anything I don't LOVE about this home. From the clean white walls to the beautiful stone walls, everything has been carefully laid out to perfection.  I love all the doors that allow for natural lighting and how the high vaulted ceilings expose those magnificent beams I can't get enough of.  

Sigh...why can't we find a house like this?? I would settle for a house half this size.

Trendy Tuesdays: Jonathan Adler Rugs

Morning my lovelies!  How's your day going so far?  I had to start today by welcoming ALL the new followers! Glad you guys are here!  Yesterday was an absolutely WONDERFUL day!  I will be visiting all of your blogs, but it will take me a little while to go through them all. Again, thanks SO much for all the comments and those who have entered the giveaway!

We came across a GORGEOUS house recently and I couldn't help but notice the rugs in their bedroom and dining room. So, I did what any typical curious shopaholic would do - I flipped over the rug to see who the designer was.  Aside from getting caught red handed by my hubby who was wondering what the heck I was doing, I found out BOTH were made by Jonathan Adler. LOVE!  I am trending him today because he is THAT awesome.  Can't wait to decorate our home with several of these for some added color and design.

Dreamy Foyer Mondays...

My lovelies!  How was your weekend?? Ours was nothing short of FANTASTIC! I don't want to spill the beans just yet, but let's just say changes are on the horizon.  My hubby and I went out Saturday night to celebrate and count our blessings.  After a LOT of praying, things are starting to fall into place and we are feeling SO blessed.  We were once again reminded of who is really in charge in our lives and we are so grateful.  Woot! Woot!  Will update you on the deets soon.

Today I am dreaming about beautiful FOYERS in the home.  We all know how important first impressions are and the home is no exception.  Wouldn't you like to "SET THE STAGE" for your guests when they come to visit?  I came across some exquisite foyers I am LOVING that will serve as inspiration for our next dream home.  I love all the different styles - from clean white spaces to modern styles and those with deep rich colors. Sigh...a girl can dream...

Top Pick Thursdays: Mirror Mirror On the Floor

In our latest search for the PERFECT home, we have come across some AMAZING home designs.  One house that caught my eye displayed this GORGEOUS floor mirror which served as the focal point of the living room.  Not only was it a beautiful piece for the home, but the large mirror gave the illusion of a much bigger room.  I told the Husband we DEFINITELY need to have one of these for our next dream home...maybe for the bedroom?  Oh how dreamy it would be...

In the Spotlight: James Cavagnari Home Tour

Morning dolls! How was your weekend? I can't even begin to you tell you how much of NOTHING we did...and we loved every minute of it! It's SO nice to sit back and relax with the one you love. I woke up early Saturday and squeezed in a morning run, lawn care, cooked breakfast, fed the dogs, and did a load of laundry ALL by 1030am.  After that, the Husband and I stared blankly at each other and wondered what kind of trouble we could get ourselves into.  No errands to run or luncheons to attend. Saturday was all about US!  It was nice. So... we grabbed lunch at Lolas, went thrift shopping, and saw 'Just Go with It' with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler.  If you have not seen this movie, REDBOX it and laugh it up! It's pretty funny.

I won't be posting "Dreamy Mondays" today because...well...this will constitute as a pretty dreamy home itself. James is an Italian architect and this is his home.  The home dates back to 1700 on the Aeolian island of Salina in Sicily, Italy. With clean white walls and beautiful details, James and his wife sought out to bring a modern touch to the home without taking away from its present beauty.  Wouldn't you LOVE to stay here?  My favorite room has got to be the bedroom...DREAMY!!!
