Top Pick Thursdays: Statement Necklaces by Anthropologie

Hello my lovelies! How are you??? It's been almost a week since my last post and I feel SO behind with the blogging world! The BHLDN store is progressing at a phenomenal rate and I can't wait to post pictures of it for you to see.  I've been working 12-14 hr days and it has given me no time to blog. So, since today is my one day off, I had to post a goodie for you.

Last weekend, I went shopping for my new wardrobe and picked out some wonderful outfits...along with 5 pairs of shoes! Eeekk! The husband was flabbergasted at our credit card bill, but I quickly explained it was a good investment. Ha!

I didn't get a chance to pick out any accessories (boo!), but these are on my list of things I REALLY want! I love anything from Anthropologie, but I am noticing a great trend with statement necklaces. The bigger, the better!  Plus, with these great picks, who needs to add earrings or bangles?  The necklace speaks for itself!

What do you think?  Are you a fan of big necklaces??

You can view the entire collection HERE.

Top Pick Thursdays: ALDO's Global Bazaar

Happy Thursday my lovelies! I've been seeing a lot of Awkward+Awesome postings on other blogs and I'd like to contribute a couple of my own as It's been an INTERESTING morning.

AWKWARD: At around 430 this morning, I was suddenly awakened by bright shining lights in our bedroom.  When I opened my eyes, I saw my husband standing by the door staring at me. Then, he said "how am I supposed to sleep with you laying like that?" Apparently, I LITERALLY kicked him out of bed in my sleep and somehow maneuvered my body horizontally across the bed taking up all his space. All I have to say is - innocent until proven guilty :) Opps.
AWESOME: It's a pretty awesome feeling to FINALLY fit into my favorite pair of jeans again.  Last night, I pulled out 2 of them (one from 4 years ago when my hubby and I first started dating and the other pair was from NINE years ago) and they fit again.  Can I get a hallelujah?!?! I swore I would one day fit into them again...so glad I didn't toss them out. Woot! Woot! I just did a virtual moonwalk across the room. :)

What kind of AWESOMENESS is happening in YOUR life today?? I want to hear!

Have you taken a look at Aldo's site lately?  They have a wonderful collection going on right now called Global Bazaar full of today's HOTTEST trends - bold colors, bracelet stacking, ikat prints, and amazing platforms you will LOVE.  I have SO many favorites I don't even know where to begin, but I should warn you, get ready for the sticker shock because EVERYTHING I found is under $100. Bam! Don't resist the feeling - I know you want it. These are my beautiful top picks for today.

Trendy Tuesdays: Punk Fashion

Hi dolls! Hope you are having a fabulous day so far. It's been a super busy day at work once again so this post is coming a little later than expected. Today has been one of those days where I feel like karate chopping anyone that gets in my way. Hey-yah!  Yes - today I feel like a Bada** with a capital "B."  I woke up early, got my workout on, and have been so productive at work today.  The only thing missing is one of these punk rocker outfits to complete my day.  I am totally digging this fashion trend aren't you?

Remember THIS post about leather biker jackets?  I would love to pair one of those jackets with one of these hot outfits.  Sometimes I'm a little rough on the edges and I like it that way.  These looks are still very feminine in their own way but have a tomboyish feel to them which I love.

I made my own little outfit below. Could you see yourself wearing this?  My goodness...those cuffs are to die for! And that leather dress reminds me of 'The Matrix' for some reason.

Dress: Marios Schwab ($3,790)

In My Shopping Bag...

Good morning my sweeties! I gotta say - I had a fantastic weekend. How about you?  Kind of sad it ended so quickly, but I am always excited to see what next weekend has in store for me. Besides Mother's Day, we did a whole lot of NOTHING. Yay!  Never thought doing nothing would make me happy, but it was nice to have some downtime with my husband, relax, get my chores/errands finished early, and prep for Monday morning. {Sigh} AND we have clean sheets and towels which always makes me oh-so-very giddy.

On Saturday I spent the day shopping with the ladies for Mother's Day and we did some damage.  Mom got a purse, blouse, a watch, and a navigation system from my brother and I.  Love that lady!  Seriously, I had to refrain myself SO many times from buying EVERYTHING in sight.  This is what happens when you don't shop on a regular basis.  It just builds up inside you and when you DO get out, you go nuts. Does that ever happen to you??

Ok...so I did go a little wild BUT (and you will be happy to know) that EVERYTHING I bought was on sale. The sales for Mother's Day were ridiculous...ALL thanks to awesome rockstar MOMS.  So, I thought I'd share my goodies with you. Brace yourself. It's pretty awesome and you may experience a bit of jealously after reading this.  That's ok. I would be jealous of me too.  Enjoy my loves!

COACH- Originally $358; on sale for 65% off! Holy moly!

NINE WEST- 2 pairs of shoes for $80 TOTAL

GUESS - Originally $150; on sale for 50% off

TARGET - Originally $12.99 each; on sale for 50% off
I love shawls and these colors are beautiful!

TARGET - Summer Necessities: $12.99 Floppy Hat; $12.99 Sandals; $16.99 sunglasses
(Ok...so my husband bought me these so they are technically "free")
AND I noticed these sandals match the dress I won below!

Remember these beauties? I won these a couple weeks ago in giveaways and they arrived over the weekend. YAY!!!! LOVE THEM!
Lynzy from Sparkling Footsteps hosted a giveaway to win an outfit from Peacock Plume and I won that amazing floral dress. Can't wait to wear it!
Annette from Swanky Tables held a giveaway to win Stella & Dot goodies and I chose these 2 fabulous bracelets. Still can't believe I won 2 giveaways in 1 day.
THANKS AGAIN LADIES FOR HOSTING THESE GREAT GIVEAWAYS!

Speaking of giveaways and free stuff, today is the LAST DAY to enter my giveaway to Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Williams-Sonoma.  The contest closes TONIGHT so enter now!  The winner will be announced Tuesday morning. Wouldn't it be nice to start the week off right as a WINNER? Yay!  Don't miss out on it. Click HERE for the full details.

Fashion Fridays: One Hot Mama!

Hi dolls! Happy Friday!  Before I forget, here is one last reminder about my giveaway to Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Williams-Sonoma.  The contest closes next Monday May 9th so enter now!  The winner will be announced Tuesday morning. Wouldn't it be nice to start the week off right as a WINNER? Yay!  Don't miss out on it. Click HERE for the full details.

Ok, so in celebration of Mother's Day, I am dedicating today's postings to my mom's favorite brands.  She is such a versatile person and can look great in anything, whether it's a $10 shirt she bought at Target or a $1000 dress from Ellen Tracy.  She's just cool like that.  Don't let her petite frame fool you - this lady has curves and she can flaunt it like no other! That's her below on my wedding day.

I KNOW for a fact we will be hitting up these stores tomorrow and I have a hunch she will be picking a few of these items.  Can't wait to see what she wants (so I can "borrow" them from her). These stores also have great deals going on so make sure you check them out.  She is going to look like one hot mama after this weekend!

Fashion Fridays: Stella & Dot

Good morning my lovelies!  Happy Friday to you all.  My day has started off FANTASTIC and here's why.  While laying in bed this morning with our doggies, I decided to check my email and noticed I received something from Swanky Tables.  Annette recently held a giveaway to win Stella & Dot goodies and I thought "What the heck! I will enter it even though I never win anything." Well, guess what?  I WON!  The last time I won ANYTHING was back in 8th grade (or was it 6th grade?) and I won "Apollo 13." Remember that movie with Tom Hanks?  Yea...that doesn't even compare to this.

So, I need your help.  I am currently coveting the following pieces of jewelry. I picked things I think Mom would like too so we can share.  Let me know what you think I should get!  Swing on by Swanky Tables to check our her blog.  It's full of FABULOUS event planning and designing tips!  I started following her when I was planning my wedding last year and have been hooked every since.  Annette - thanks again for hosting this great giveaway!

I Made It Mondays: DIY Wedding Earrings by Wedding Chicks

Happy Monday my dear friends!  How was your weekend?  I spent mine making homemade thank you cards and snuggling with my hubby over a movie.  It was nice.  Saw this super cute DIY project I found on Wedding Chicks and had to share it with you.  This would be a perfect wedding gift for yourself or your bridesmaids.
