Top Pick Thursdays: Beach-to-Bar Cover-Ups

Holy cow. I am in SO much pain today. I can barely take a step without cringing, I can't straighten out my legs, and the stairs are not my friends today.  When I sneezed this morning, I felt like my stomach was ripping apart. Ouch.

Last week, I started working out again but I REALLY kicked it up a notch this week by doing 2-a-days and O-M-G it hurts!  It's a good pain because I know I am toning up, but I think I have overdone myself.  No pain no gain I guess. Must. Tone. Up. For. Summer. And. Memorial. Weekend. {sigh} The life of a female...

But enough about me. How is YOUR morning going so far?  I can practically smell the weekend and it smells pretty sweet doesn't it? Do you have any traveling plans for this summer?  School is almost out and that means lots of family time and vacationing for us. YAY!

Last week, I posted about my TOP swimwear trend picks HERE and also featured a post about the CUTEST Anthropologie vintage-inspired swimsuits several weeks ago HERE. Now, the only thing missing is the PERFECT beach-to-bar cover-up. I don't know about you, but I can't imagine spending hundreds of dollars on a cover-up unless I can also wear it as an evening dress for dinner. I just don't have that kind of money laying around do you?  Plus, I would rather spend it on a nice pair of shoes. I am SO crushing on these hot AND affordable cover-ups from VS.  Oh summer days...I am counting down the days 'til we meet again.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE - $49.50
LOVE ROMPERS - $38
$59.50
LOVE THIS PATTERN - $59.50
$48
LOVE CROCHET - $59.50
A LITTLE PRICEY BUT WORTH IT - $88
LOVE THE HINT OF TURQUOISE - $68

Top Pick Thursdays: Swimwear Trending

Believe it or not, I haven't worked out ONE DAY since my wedding back in January. Eekk!!!  I have been so busy (not that it's an excuse). So, earlier this week, I bit the bullet and started my workout routine again.  I gotta say - it feels pretty darn good! I am trying to get myself toned so we can take a vacation soon.  Seriously, I need to get away and sip on some 'ritas, soak up the rays, and run my toes through a white sandy beach. Is that too much too ask for?

According to Harper's Bazaar, these are the trendiest looks for this summer.  I concur.

I have a long torso so I try to wear belts on just about EVERYTHING to add curves.
Why not a bathing suit too right?
Love this sporty chic look by MK.
Michael Kors Spring 2011

And remember THIS post I did a few days ago about missoni prints?  Since they are technically part of the "Tribal Print Family," I am gushing over this style also.
Mara Hoffman Resort Swim 2011

Finally, how can you possibly go wrong with stripes, especially fun stripes like this one??

Fashion Fridays: Anthropologie Vintage Swimwear 2011

Happy Friday my beauties!  Are you ready for the weekend?  I know I am!  You know what else I'm ready for? A vacation...somewhere sunny with miles and miles of sandy beach and a cool ocean breeze. (Sigh)

I've been browsing swimsuits for a few weeks now and really want to sport a different style this season.  These swimsuits by Anthropologie are timeless pieces that take me back in time.  The blue/white striped one is one of my top choices. It elongates my body and adds curves in just the right places. Which is your favorite?  Click HERE to see their entire collection.  Whatever you pick, you can't go wrong with Anthropologie.
