Wedding Wednesdays: Claire La Faye Vintage Wedding

Morning lovelies! Happy Hump Day! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I spent the day cuddling up to my doggies and watched bad soap operas while the rain poured outside.  Seriously - do those people EVER age?  I haven't watched it in years but they ALL still look the same.  All in all, it was a pleasantly relaxing day.

I also spent the day browsing my favorite wedding blogs and came across one that took my breath away.  This one is from Style Me Pretty and the bride's dress is nothing short of AMAZING. The designer, Claire La Faye, is new to the wedding world but is already paving the way for success. The label has a "heavy nostalgia for romance...old Hollywood glamour with a modern day silhouette...luxury with an edge." WOW.  When you see this bride's dress, you will see every bit of this. LOVING the rustic vintage theme, the doilies and lace, the birdcage headpiece from La Boheme, the wonderful lampshade decor, and one of my favorite pieces, her rosary  necklace from Waxing Poetic

In My Closet...Blushing

Hi dolls! Happy Tuesday! I have taken the day off to enjoy some ME time and work on some side projects.  Yay!  Hope your day has started off WONDERFULLY. I'm feeling a little lazy today so there won't be a Trendy Tuesday post until next week, but this post kind of qualifies as a trend - BLUSH colors are SO in right now and remember my previous post HERE on missoni prints?  Yup - I'm sporting this trend today as well.

Found this AMAZING vintage dress a few weeks ago and I am IN LOVE with it!  I paired it with a great vintage green jacket and rolled up the sleeves for some color contrast. Love the look - could wear this to work or an evening out on the town.  The dress actually came with a vest, but I didn't like it much so I left it out.  I'm wearing my missoni print peep-toe pumps and added the belt just because I LOVE belts and ta-dah! An outfit I REALLY love.  It's totally me - part girlie, part vintage, and 100% classy.

The dress (with vest) and jacket will be added to the online store! I am hoping to get it up an running by the beginning of July. Are you as excited as I am??

Top Pick Thursdays: Mirror Mirror On the Floor

In our latest search for the PERFECT home, we have come across some AMAZING home designs.  One house that caught my eye displayed this GORGEOUS floor mirror which served as the focal point of the living room.  Not only was it a beautiful piece for the home, but the large mirror gave the illusion of a much bigger room.  I told the Husband we DEFINITELY need to have one of these for our next dream home...maybe for the bedroom?  Oh how dreamy it would be...

Aren't you SWOONING over these floor mirrors?

Wedding Wednesdays: A Roaring 20's Wedding

Morning lovelies and Happy Hump Day!  I have been awake since 5:30. 5:30 people!!!  Tyson (my beastly dog) woke up early and wouldn't let anyone go back to bed so I got up and started my day.  Everything was moving along great and JUST as I was about to walk out the door, I noticed Ally's face looked a little funky. So, I did a double take and goodness gracious almighty!! Her left eye was swollen shut. She must have gotten stung by something after I let them out.  Poor thing...we are going to the vet in an hour to get this sucker checked out. Hope everything turns out ok.

Since I have a few minutes to kill, I wanted to post this ABSOLUTELY fabulous and beautiful wedding I found on Style Me Pretty.  As you know, I LOVE all things vintage and the bride made sure EVERY detail fit this theme to a tee!  I am in love with everything and seeing this photos really takes me back to that wonderful era. I can't say enough about that Claire Pettibone wedding gown, the reception dress SHE made herself (talk about a wonderful DIY project right?), and that gorgeous headpiece she got from Anthropologie! A lovely bride indeed! Check out all the details HERE

Wedding Wednesdays: A Peachy Wedding

Good morning lovelies!  My deepest apologies for not posting yesterday.  I was not feeling well and took a day off from work to rest.  Can you believe it's already Wednesday?

Remember: TODAY is the LAST DAY to register for my $100 Tory Burch gift card. ONE lucky winner will be drawn at random tomorrow for this amazing prize. This would be a PERFECT gift for yourself OR a great friend!!!  Click HERE for the full details.

I fell in love with this wedding from the UK for so many reasons.  First, the bride is beautiful. Doesn't she remind you of Leann Rimes?  She's a classic beauty and I know she has good taste because her wedding gown is phenomenal.  She opted for a soft peachy color and it is amazing on her skin tone. This gown is by Jenny Lessin.  Second, her bridesmaids dresses (from Genevieve Designs) are oh-so-adorable!  Third, she has a lot of themes going on, but they ALL work perfectly together!  She went for a vintage bohemian hollywood glamour style...my kind of theme! And last but not least, I am totally digging that scarf/hanky thing the groom is wearing. Isn't it great?  What do you love about this wedding?

Wedding Wednesdays: Mad Men Themed Wedding

Good morning my lovelies.  How's your day going so far?  My body is slowly adjusting to the time change, but the poor doggies (who usually wake up at 730am or so) have been sleeping until almost 9am each morning.  Still, I love seeing the sun still out after I get off work.  It's refreshing.  By the way, is it really Wednesday already?? Yay!

I was thinking of cool wedding themes this morning and wanted to dedicate this posting to Mad Men themes.  Little did I know how much stuff I would find! Wow! Take a peek for some inspiration. Did you have this theme for your wedding or know someone who did?  It is so super neat.
