Fashion Fridays: Shopbop's ONE by Collection

Morning dolls! T.G.I.F.!!! Any exciting plans in store? I'm already planning what I'd like to wear this weekend and these are my Saturday and Sunday picks.  LOVING Shopbop's One by Collection.  It's a curated collection from various designers and is one of Shopbop's 4 boutiques.  I REALLY want these two dresses.  The first is One by Line & Dot; the other is from One by Boulee.  Found some cute accessories to match too, although they are a bit out of my price range.  However, it will serve as good inspiration to find more affordable deals.  Aren't you LOVING those blue suede booties? I want them, but at almost $650, I may have to give up a few meals before I can get them. Happy shopping my lovelies!

Top Pick Thursdays: Crazy for Denim

Hi dolls! Happy happy Thursday! I REALLY hope this week has been SUPER wonderful to you. I think I speak for everyone when I say "let's get ROCKIN' and ROLLIN' on the weekend fun-tivities!"  I am SO excited about the long weekend ahead.  The Husband and I have been in DESPERATE need of a vacay, but since we won't be going anywhere for at least another month or so, this weekend will suffice.  What are your plans for Memorial Weekend? Pool parties? BBQs? Traveling plans?

I don't think there's a single person who DOESN'T LOVE denim.  It's like the All-American classic necessity of every day living.  I can't live without it...can you?  Denim will NEVER go out of style, but this season is ALL about pairing it accordingly.  I love how denim is so versatile and that's why I don't mind spending a little more money on them.  I can already see myself wearing that strapless dress for Sunday brunch or pairing it with a nice blazer for work. BAM! Two outfits in one.

I browsed Polyvore (because I am obsessed with all the great boards) and found my top 5 picks below. I might have to put together a few of these ensembles for this weekend's parties. Which is your favorite look?

Denim..

Fashion Fridays: Bar Refaeli at the Cannes

I'm not even sure what to say about this post except HOT DANG! When I came across Bar's dress in Harper's Bazaar, I has to gasp for air....and you'll see why in a second.

TWO words: STUNNING and MOTIVATION.  Stunning because the color is perfect, she looks gorgeous, and I am a sucker for dresses with low-cut and revealing backs. Motivation because I (or should I say my tush) want to look LIKE THAT after all these hard workouts. Bar...THANK YOU!

Top Pick Thursdays: Living Comfortably

Just came back from a home tour and I am crossing my fingers and toes that this will be THE ONE for us.  I am in love with this house and although it is pretty old, it has SO much potential.  I could see myself growing old in this house with our kids and dogs.

I actually saw the house yesterday, but my husband came with me today and mom popped in at the last minute too.  They both liked it (and mind you, mom can be hard to please at times).  I have already started daydreaming about how we will decorate it and renovate the home to make it our own.  There are SO many styles I LOVE, but I think at the end of the day, I really want something cozy and warm.  Modern and contemporary styles are great, but I think we are evolving into more classically vintage styles (with a modern twist of course). So, with that being said, my home decor top pick for today are beautiful cozy living rooms. All of these rooms are very inviting and the abundance of beige makes the room quite bright and open.  And the high ceilings don't hurt either. {daydreaming....}

PS - Just a reminder that I am currently running a GIVEAWAY and would LOVE for you to enter. That means...free stuff!  The contest ends Monday May 9th. Don't miss out on it. Click HERE for the full details. Good luck my sweeties.

Top Pick Thursdays: Giorgio Armani Dark Blue Collection

Good day lovelies! I woke up this morning to surprisingly pleasant weather.  It was cool outside and I took a moment to embrace the fresh crisp air.  It was nice.  As I was walking out the door for work, I quickly took to my closet for my favorite dark blue trench coat.  It was perfect for today's weather.

I love dark blue.  It's a very dark and rich color that has this ability to be very calming and settling to me. I love wearing dark blue because I associate this color with a high level of sophistication.  I don't know why. I just do.  Have you seen Giorgio Armani's Dark Blue Collection?  In a word, it is RIVETING. Here is why:

Wedding Wednesdays: A Royal (Blue) Wedding

Unless you have completely isolated yourself from the world, then you know Prince William and Kate Middleton will be tying the knot in a couple days.  This will be a sight to see! I'm not sure why, but when when I think of the Royal Family, I always picture a royal blue palette. Whatever color Kate decides on will be fabulous and I will be tuning in closely to watch this $32 million dollar wedding.  Take a peek at these lovely wedding boards. Enjoy my lovelies!

I Got the Blues...

Hey there friends! How was your weekend? I am slowly getting back into the work routine, but Mondays are always a drag.  I didn't work on any DIY projects, but I did get my new camera.  I am SO excited to show you some pictures I have taken so far.  My planned mini photo shoot got postponed so my hubby and I went house hunting instead.  Fun stuff!  I have a small case of the Monday Blues....do you?

Wedding Wednesdays: Ceremony Programs

A very simple, but elegant look on a single sheet of cardstock.

It's all in the details!  A wedding is just a wedding until you incorporate YOUR own ideas and details into it.  That's what will make your day special.  I've been browsing ideas for wedding programs and came across some great pictures on The Knot to give me some inspiration.  Here are some of my favorite!  I might have to bust open the sewing machine for a couple of these. Woowhoo!

I LOVE this idea!  Something to keep the guests occupied before (and maybe during) the ceremony.
A little more work, but the results are amazing!  This is burlap on the front & back cover sewn together with cardstock.

Resembles a prayer book. Brilliant!  Stitched paper (instead of glue) held together with an elastic band. A wonderful vintage look!

Floral Fridays: Take My Breath Away

I am meeting with my florist this weekend and have been looking for last minute floral arrangements to show her.

Who ever thought baby's breath would make such a gorgeous centerpiece?   Came across these great pictures from The Cinderella Project and had to share it with you. These arrangements were front and center for everyone to see.

Found some more images from Intimate Weddings that used them as ceremony decor and bridesmaid bouquets.  Such a classic, simple, and affordable way to glam up your wedding!  I may have to use a few of these for our reception.
