Top Pick Thursdays: Mustard & Mayo

My beautiful friends! Happy Almost Friday!!!  It is such a humid and blistering hot day in Houston, but I don't care because all I can smell are the sweet adventures of the weekend that awaits me and THAT alone makes me UBER happy and excited today!

Today's post is NOT about food...sorry (although food seems to ALWAYS linger in my mind)!  I have been crushing SO hard on this color combo lately, although I JUST realized I only have 2 mustard colored tops in my closet. TIME TO EXPAND the wardrobe!

I don't know what it is about the colors but they go SO well together and the mustard color is reminiscent of a vintage, old-schooled look which I LOVE. Plus, with Fall right around the corner, this color is wonderful for the season. Here are some of my TOP PICKS from my FAVORITE stores.

In My Closet...Hippie Chic

Aren't you GLAD the day is almost over?  As we inch closer to the weekend (YAY!), I am hoping to put my floppy hat to good use.  Bought it a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to wear it.  I love it because it has the perfect amount of "flop" and the color is such a rich brown.  I'd LOVE to pair it with some white/ivory pieces for a perfect summer look.  Kinda modern. Kinda hippie-ish.  Gotta love the 70's trend right now!  

I will be adding the satin ivory vintage blouse and crochet cardigan to my online store once its up and running, but in the mean time, this is how I'd wear it if these were in my closet...

Fashion Fridays: White by Dolce & Gabbana

Remember THIS post I did about a month ago about lovely white outfits?  Well, I thought it would be appropriate to revisit this trend since we can all wear white again.  WHEW! Not sure if this is just a U.S. thing or a universal fashion rule, but you should NOT wear white after Labor Day as it is HIGHLY frowned upon. This rule is void after Memorial Day...until the next Labor Day which will be in September. So, with that being said, I will be getting in as much white as possible before then.

Seriously, I can't even afford any of these outfits, but a girl can dream can't she?  Ha! I LOVE Dolce & Gabbana's jaw dropping collection which is FULL of white romantic lace and peek-a-boo sheer fabric. From short shorts to long flowy skirts, D&G has something for everyone which is why I have picked them for my Fashion Friday posting.  I won't even ask if you see something you like...cause I know you LOVE them all. (sigh...I think I'm in love.)

Dreamy Closet Mondays...

Ok..so now that I have ALL these new things to add to my closet, I am wondering where in the heck I am going to store them?!?!  Anybody wish they had a bigger closet? ME! I wish we had 2 closets - one for me and the other for my shoes. Ha! Kidding. The other closet would be for my husband of course. 

Our next home will DEFINITELY have a HUGE closet with a pullout bed and everything. Again, kidding.  Well, a girl can dream and these amazingly beautiful closets will be inspiration for my husband and I in our next home. I love white closets, pastel pinks, and soft lighting and these would be perfect.

Wedding Wednesdays: Alex Perry

Good morning my lovelies! I've got Australia on my mind today. Oh what it would be like to visit this beautiful country, meet all the wonderfully beautiful people, and frolic along the sandy beaches while watching the waves roll in. OH YEA...and did I mention that RAFW (Rosemount Australian Fashion Week) is going on right now??? I am painstakingly jealous of anyone going to this fabulous event.  I've always known Australia is awesome but the fashion industry there is out of this world!  I've found SO many wonderful designers and can't wait to showcase their work.

One designer I found last week whom I've ALREADY fallen in love with is Alex Perry.  He's only the MOST glamorous fashion designer in Australia and I can see why.  Born from Greek descent, he graduated from East Sydney Technical College in 1984 and began working as a model agent. He dabbled in design, but it wasn't until 1998 when he started his first women's ready-to-wear collection at which point his career skyrocketed shortly after. I'm super excited he is starting a Bridal Collection and can't wait to see more of his work.  Here are some of my favorite pieces from Fashion Week you could pull off for your wedding.

Trendy Tuesdays: Whiteout

I LOVE WHITE. 

There is something so minimalistic about this color yet it makes SUCH a statement all by itself.  

Seriously. What other color can do this?  

White - You are pretty awesome because You can do nothing and people will STILL notice You.

Floral Fridays: Take My Breath Away

I am meeting with my florist this weekend and have been looking for last minute floral arrangements to show her.

Who ever thought baby's breath would make such a gorgeous centerpiece?   Came across these great pictures from The Cinderella Project and had to share it with you. These arrangements were front and center for everyone to see.
